Breakthrough

I don’t know about you, but many years ago I used to laugh my butt off at that goofy Tony Robbins.  I used to think, “Who is this weirdo with all of his crazy ideas jumping around on stage”.  Then about 20 years ago, I went to a success seminar and he was one of the speakers.

Either he got a lot better, or my mindset changed a lot.  I’m thinking it was probably the latter!

Now I’m not sure if you have had an opportunity to watch his new show that debuted a few weeks ago on NBC, but if you can fit it in, it’s an all out WINNER!

Check out this interview where he talks about the show.

So you probably fit into one of 3 categories.

  • You Are Inspired
  • You Want To Be Inspired
  • You Don’t Want To Be Inspired

If you follow me on my blog, you probably fall into one of the first 2!

I am so happy to see a show like this on TV.  It gives me faith that a resurgence of success and less dependence can actually take place.  The story from this week really touched my heart.  The story of this family is so common in America today.  One spouse has a great job, the other is raising kids.  Great life, great family, great house…You know the story.  Then, tragedy strikes.  The primary breadwinner loses his job, and the family looks for an answer.  So, they decide to start their own business.  They use all their money, and they fail.

Well, there’s the answer.  See what happens when you start a business?  YOU FAIL!  So…don’t start a business, right?

NO!

That’s the answer you will hear from all the naysayers out there.  Here’s a few questions you might want to google…

How many times did Donald Trump declare bankruptcy?  More importantly, how many times did he bounce back?

How many inventions did Thomas Edison fail at?  What do we remember him for?  Hint: His successes!

Who made this famous quote “It’s fine to celebrate success, but it’s more important to heed the lessons of failure”  Hint: He started a tiny little company called Microsoft.

If you’re afraid of failing, that’s ok.  Most of us are or have been at one point in our lives.  It’s not the fear that’s important, it’s what we do about it.  You will never succeed in life unless you overcome your fears and take a step up.  If you are serious about being inspired, I challenge you to take a few minutes and watch the story of Ron and Marie.

If you didn’t get just a bit choked up during that, I’m really going to question your feelings.  The sad part is that so many people are facing this same situation right now.

Is the moral of the story that if you fail as an entrepreneur you should go find a job?  Absolutely NOT!  Entrepreneurship is not for everyone, but just because you fail once doesn’t mean you can’t regroup and have your dreams.  Did you find out how many times Trump bounced back yet?

The more important lesson here is that you may fail many times in your life, but you better learn the lessons of those failures so you CAN see success.  Ask any successful person and they will tell you they have failed more than they have succeeded.  That’s a fact.  If you’ve given up on life, I can’t help you.  But if you want more, we are ready to help you engage.  Life is more than a crappy 9-5 and 2 weeks of vacation each year.

I hope you were inspired by the story of Ron and Marie, and I hope your Tivo is already set up for next week’s Breakthrough episode.  Prepare to be INSPIRED!
