Greatest Pyramid Scam Ever Is Discovered!

I’m not exactly sure when this one started, but it appears it has been around for a long time.  The really sad part is that people have been getting ripped off from this one for far too long, and it doesn’t look like it’s going to be stopped anytime soon.

There was a period of time a few years ago that it looked like people were starting to be able to get away from it, but recently, it seems, they are being sucked right back into it again.

It’s kind of sad how it works.  People get in because they think it’s what they are supposed to do.  The person at the top makes all the money, but there are a few others who make decent money.  Unfortunately, the people at the bottom don’t make any money.  Even worse, it’s virtually impossible for them to move up and start making any real money.

Why can’t they move up?  Well, there’s a lot of factors.  For one, the people at the top make it very difficult for the bottom people to move up.  Out of self-preservation, they don’t want to be replaced, and there are only so many top spots.  Also, the people at the bottom have been conditioned to think that they are always going to be bottom people, so they don’t try very hard to move up.  They have just sort of decided to stay at the bottom because that’s where they think they belong.

Have you ever heard of this horrible Pyramid Scheme?

It’s called a JOB!

For all you out there that think franchising and network marketing is a Pyramid Scam, you might want to simply consider the story I just laid out.  Rags to riches stories DO happen in the work force, but do an honest assessment from your working career and tell me how many people you have seen move from the mail room to the board room?  How many didn’t?

In many cases these same people that accomplished this feat would have probably done so running their own enterprise as well.

Now, I’m not telling you that you should quit your job.  Believe it or not, I still have my job as a pilot for a large, US airline.  I love it, but I put it in perspective.  I realized after 40% paycuts, loss of pension, and decreased medical benefits that I had to do something outside of my job if I really wanted to get ahead.

I’m simply challenging you to think outside the box a little bit, and open up the blinders to the truth instead of what you have been told or conditioned to believe.

I’m going to re-post this video by Robert Kiyosaki because I believe it’s important for people to understand why they AREN’T getting ahead.  It’s not entirely their fault, but it takes education to understand how to change it.  No, you don’t need to go back to school to get an MBA.  All the education you need is readily available for free or very low cost.  It’s on the Internet, in bookstores, and on DVD.  You just have to make a decision to change what you are putting into your mind!

Let me ask you one final question.

If I offered you a McDonald’s franchise for less than $500, provided all the training to run it for free, created an environment where you could add more franchises at little to no cost, and you could run it from home…Would you be slightly interested?

Of course you would.  Don’t overlook the home based business industry.  Yes, just like bad franchises, there are bad business opportunities.  And just like franchises, there are bad people to get in business with.  But after some basic investigation you will find that networking provides one of the few options for a person of modest means to get involved in personal business ownership without the large investment or a Harvard MBA.

Here’s a brief look at the differences between franchising and a home based business.

Breakthrough

I don’t know about you, but many years ago I used to laugh my butt off at that goofy Tony Robbins.  I used to think, “Who is this weirdo with all of his crazy ideas jumping around on stage”.  Then about 20 years ago, I went to a success seminar and he was one of the speakers.

Either he got a lot better, or my mindset changed a lot.  I’m thinking it was probably the latter!

Now I’m not sure if you have had an opportunity to watch his new show that debuted a few weeks ago on NBC, but if you can fit it in, it’s an all out WINNER!

Check out this interview where he talks about the show.

So you probably fit into one of 3 categories.

  • You Are Inspired
  • You Want To Be Inspired
  • You Don’t Want To Be Inspired

If you follow me on my blog, you probably fall into one of the first 2!

I am so happy to see a show like this on TV.  It gives me faith that a resurgence of success and less dependence can actually take place.  The story from this week really touched my heart.  The story of this family is so common in America today.  One spouse has a great job, the other is raising kids.  Great life, great family, great house…You know the story.  Then, tragedy strikes.  The primary breadwinner loses his job, and the family looks for an answer.  So, they decide to start their own business.  They use all their money, and they fail.

Well, there’s the answer.  See what happens when you start a business?  YOU FAIL!  So…don’t start a business, right?

NO!

That’s the answer you will hear from all the naysayers out there.  Here’s a few questions you might want to google…

How many times did Donald Trump declare bankruptcy?  More importantly, how many times did he bounce back?

How many inventions did Thomas Edison fail at?  What do we remember him for?  Hint: His successes!

Who made this famous quote “It’s fine to celebrate success, but it’s more important to heed the lessons of failure”  Hint: He started a tiny little company called Microsoft.

If you’re afraid of failing, that’s ok.  Most of us are or have been at one point in our lives.  It’s not the fear that’s important, it’s what we do about it.  You will never succeed in life unless you overcome your fears and take a step up.  If you are serious about being inspired, I challenge you to take a few minutes and watch the story of Ron and Marie.

If you didn’t get just a bit choked up during that, I’m really going to question your feelings.  The sad part is that so many people are facing this same situation right now.

Is the moral of the story that if you fail as an entrepreneur you should go find a job?  Absolutely NOT!  Entrepreneurship is not for everyone, but just because you fail once doesn’t mean you can’t regroup and have your dreams.  Did you find out how many times Trump bounced back yet?

The more important lesson here is that you may fail many times in your life, but you better learn the lessons of those failures so you CAN see success.  Ask any successful person and they will tell you they have failed more than they have succeeded.  That’s a fact.  If you’ve given up on life, I can’t help you.  But if you want more, we are ready to help you engage.  Life is more than a crappy 9-5 and 2 weeks of vacation each year.

I hope you were inspired by the story of Ron and Marie, and I hope your Tivo is already set up for next week’s Breakthrough episode.  Prepare to be INSPIRED!

George & His Magic Grill

Yesterday, my business partner Ray wrote an awesome blog post on why the poor stay poor.  Well, as divine intervention would have it, there was an amazing Rags To Riches Story on CNBC last night on heavy weight fighter George Foreman.
Ok, so George did make a lot of money fighting, but have you ever heard this guys story?  Did you know he was born into poverty in Houston and robbed people for a living growing up?  Think you are so down and out you can’t have the American Dream?  Listen to THIS guys story!

The takeaway from this story isn’t that George Foreman became a great boxer, it’s that he became a great person!  He made a decision.  You can skip over his boxing career as just another example of a kid that comes out of the ghetto to go on to make millions because of his athletic talents (I wouldn’t though, his story of overcoming adversity is amazing).  You can say…That would never happen to me, I have no athletic talent.  Ok, I’ll give you that one.
But how do you explain his belief in himself to the point that he goes on to become a multi-millionaire businessman with no high school education?  He made a decision!

So what does all of this have to do with me, you’re asking yourself.  Simple.  If you’re sitting there wondering why you aren’t getting ahead, wondering what happened to YOUR American Dream, it’s still there.  You just haven’t reached out to grab it.  It’s much easier to take the road MOST traveled which is mediocrity.
If you have started on your success journey but aren’t seeing any success, it’s because you haven’t gone ALL IN like George Foreman did.  This cat at age 45, because he was BROKE and about to file BANKRUPTCY, had no other choice but to get back in the ring and fight.  Are you willing to do something you think makes you uncomfortable or causes you to stretch to reach your goals or even provide security for you and your family?
George was, and his mindset carried him to success in life.
As I work with my team of business leaders, it amazes me each and every day to see how different people are.  I meet some who look up to our success and ask how they too could find success, but then there are others who outright resent the fact.  Or, they believe I was born into it, lucky, or that’s just the way things are destined to happen.  Obviously they don’t know my STORY!
I’m gonna put it to you this way.  If you are under the house in the dog poo like George Foreman was (Mentally!), the only thing that is going to get you out is a decision.  A decision to be great, a decision to step out of where you are, and a decision to make changes.  No one can do that for you.  But if you believe and you find a great team to mentor you, life can change.  Look at George.
If you’re ready, let’s get together.  Our leadership team is one of the most unique in business.  2 actors, an airline pilot, and some of the top earners in Internet Marketing.  Wow, how’d that crazy group all come together?  We all had one goal.  Success!
