Dude, Where’d My Job Go?
Ok folks, let’s face it…things are tough out there. But you know what? It’s actually how it is supposed to be! Now before you get totally pissed off at me, let me explain.
Awhile back I wrote a blog post about how shifts in the Global Economy were driving changes in our own job situation here in the US and many Western industrial countries. I’m not gonna get deep into the economic reasons here, if you are interested you can go back to that post.
But let me put it this way. What happened back in the 1800′s that caused people who lived on farms and in small towns to move to the city? Jobs! People who were farmers and small town shopkeepers and blacksmiths uprooted themselves and moved to big cities because the Industrial Revolution was in full swing.
Think of that, people actually had to learn new skills and uproot their families in pursuit of their dream. Where are we at today? We are in the midst of another revolution and it’s in full swing. It’s called the Information Revolution, and it’s no different than the last one. If you don’t learn the new rules, you get left behind just like the folks that stayed behind in the last revolution.
Does that mean I can’t stay where I’m at, John? Not at all, but staying where you’re at simply means that you get what you have, and you don’t get to play in the new, information driven global marketplace.
What do Bill Gates, Michael Dell, Mark Zuckerberg, and Eric Schmidt all have in common?
They were all normal guys that figured out at a young age that if they were going to be ultimately successful, they were going to have to figure out something that someone else hadn’t. But also, they knew that they were going to have to risk failure to be successful.
Now, if you don’t know who all these guys are..Bill Gates, founder of Microsoft, Michael Dell, founder of Dell Computers, Mark Zuckerberg, Inventor of Facebook and Eric Schmidt, Inventor of Google.
Now, I’m not sitting here predicting that you will be the next Bill Gates, but let’s face it folks, if you are going to truly see success in this New Global Economy, you need to figure out what the new rules are and start playing by them.
While it is very sad, the $80,000 factory labor jobs are going away faster than we can keep track of, and no matter what our government promises, they ain’t gonna come back anytime soon. Sitting back and waiting for the government or society to bail you out isn’t what we as Americans have ever been about, and I for one hope it isn’t what we become.
If you are willing to simply start learning, you have an opportunity to join the ranks of the successful. This country doesn’t need to give another handout, it needs to enable it’s people to greatness through entrepreneurism!
So my challenge to you today is to start learning. Go back to school and begin to embrace the Post Industrial Society (Look up that book by Daniel Bell written in 1973). Start today by looking at the free training I have laid out for you on this blog, and I also challenge you to look at my business partner, Ray Higdon’s,
Wealth Creation Strategies
I’m frankly tired of seeing the masses waiting for a handout like it’s the Middle Ages and the peasants wait at the gates for the King to give favor. We worked too hard as a society to grow above that. Stop waiting and take the responsibility to create success in your life instead of waiting for the government to define success for you.
If this blog pisses you off, then so be it. Even if it does piss you off, I hope it spurs you into action to start taking some responsibility for your life and create success. There are too many opportunities out there, you just need to take a leap of faith and start your journey.
Great Facebook Training
My business partner Ray Higdon hit another homerun last night with an amazing training on Facebook that anyone can do. I just put it in “The Vault”.

One of the great benefits of working on a team like we have is that we can all leverage our time by sharing content and trainings. Ray has put together some amazing stuff, and I am happy to share it with all of you.
I know you will be able to put a lot of our ideas to use immediately to grow your business. Look for some exciting live events that we will be planning this weekend on my trip to LA.
Off To Minnesota
I’m out the door and off to see my parents and do some fishing back in my home state of Minnesota. So excited to get back home for a few days.
I wanted to let you in on a little secret, yesterday I decided to open up my private vault of training that I usually only give access to my closest teammates. For a limited time, you can see over a hundred hours of webinars and trainings that you can use to explode your business today.
